The Benefits of Support Groups
Grief is a powerful emotion that affects each of us at some point in our life. As social interaction is a critical part of our healing process, grief support groups help promote a sense of understanding and connection with others who are also experiencing loss.
These groups are a warm, informal place to share and support each other during the healing process. Stop by for encouragement, information and helpful tips as you shape a new normal for your life.
Dementia Support Group
Loved ones and caregivers of those with dementia may endure losses in many areas of their lives. This group focuses on finding solidarity with others facing similar experiences, sharing caregiving ideas and coping strategies, and processing anticipatory grief.
This group meets at Elmcroft of Washington Township, 8630 Washington Church Road, 45342, 3rd Thursday of the month – 5:30 pm
Some symptoms of grief can interfere with a person’s ability to sleep, eat or concentrate. If you are experiencing these difficulties you may benefit from individual grief counseling.
Our professionally trained staff offers grief counseling sessions free to the community.
